TAP-dancing crayfish helped kick off a summer of entertainment in Bracknell town centre, which continues with events on Saturday.

The crayfish, along with some singing prawns, were part of the "Airquarium" inflatable theatre that entertained the crowds on Saturday, together with the Invisible Men comedy group and wacky gospel singer Musical Ruth.

The events were organised by Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP) as part of its summer programme, which will continue with a Community Dance Day from 11am-2pm Saturday in Charles Square.

Helen Barnett, BRP's marketing manager, said: "Saturday's performances were a terrific start to our summer of music and I'm very much looking forward to the Community Dance Day!"

The dance day will include performances by Project Derelict, Bracknell Morris Dancers and the Dancing Nikita Company. It will also have a Bollywood dance exhibition and workshop, plus entertainment from Birch Hill-based South Hill Park arts centre.

For future events, see www.bracknell.com.
