Pairing up for culinary treat

CULINARY masters Heston Blumenthal and Delia Smith will team up for the first time with Bracknell-based Waitrose.

The company hopes that the dream pair will stir up a recipe for success as ambassadors for its brand and Delia said: "After many years of communicating recipes I am delighted that now everyone who follows them will be absolutely certain of being able to find all the ingredients."

Heston Blumenthal, who owns three-Michelin-starred restaurant The Fat Duck in Bray near Maidenhead, added: "I'm excited about sharing some great practical tips, ideas and recipes with the home cook, to encourage us all to get the best out of our ingredients, and hopefully add some fun and excitement to the weekly shop."

The personality-led campaign, which is the first of its kind for Waitrose, is set to start at the end of this month.
