A former bank branch is set to be replaced with a shop under new plans.
The former Barclays Bank on Windsor High Street has been vacant since it closed in August last year.
At the time, Barclays said its closure was due to changes in customer behaviour, with many opting to bank online.
They added: "In Windsor, we plan to open a Barclays Local – a pop-up cashless banking site where customers can meet a colleague face-to-face for banking support, as they would in a branch and without the need to travel."
The business had a prime spot opposite Windsor Castle, next to the Harte and Garter Hotel - where it had operated for over two decades.
Now a gift shop has outlined plans to open in the unit.
Indelibly, a souvenir shop has applied to put up its green and gold branding on the building.
The shop already has a premises near St Paul's Cathedral in London.
