Customers in a town centre supermarket have been left carrying heavy bags up several flights of stairs after access to the car park became limited.
For the past month, Sainsbury's on Providence Place in Maidenhead has not had a working lift or travelator.
It is an issue which has plagued the supermarket on and off for many months, with the travelator being the main access point to and from the shop's upstairs car park.
Customers encountering the problem quickly turned to the lift, but found these also out of action.
Many shoppers have been seen carrying heavy bags of shopping up several flights of stairs, which have been described as "unclean" and "grotty".
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: "We are sorry for the disruption customers may be experiencing while the travellator and one of the lifts are out of service at our Maidenhead store.
"We are working hard to fix them as quickly as possible and another lift is available for customers to use.”
While the problems remain ongoing, some shoppers have opted to travel to Sainsbury's in Taplow, where no lifts or travelators are needed to access the shop.
