Heavenly Desserts Slough could sell sweets late at night

Heavenly Desserts opened in the Moxy building in the High Street in September last year, and has since become a popular place to enjoy desserts and drinks.

Billing itself as ‘the UK’s number one dessert restaurant’ Heavenly Desserts serves up a range of waffles, cakes, tarts and other goodies to diners.

Now, S MW Slough Ltd, which runs Heavenly Desserts in the High Street, has applied to keep selling sweet treats and drinks on the premises until 1am.

It is currently open from 11am to 11pm each day. But in order to keep serving its menu after 11pm it requires a licence from Slough Borough Council.

The Heavenly Desserts site in the High Street was created as part of the Borough Council’s Slough Urban Renewal project in partnership with Muse Places.

The project saw the transformation of The Old Library site to provide 64 apartments and two Marriot hotels, the Moxy and Residence Inn.

Andrew Howell, general manager at Muse Places said: “We truly believe that collectively we’re contributing to regeneration and having a meaningful social impact that will benefit the town and the community for many years to come.”

Heavenly Desserts has 50 open parlours in Great Britain and another in Mississauga, Canada. Its parlours in Bolton, Canterbury and Cardiff are listed as temporarily closed.
