A hotel is a desireable location with views of Windsor Castle has gone on the market with an eight figure price tag.

The Ye Harte and Garter Hotel, situated at 31 High Street, Windsor has hit the market.

Owned by the Crown Estate, the hotel and plot, which includes two restaurants underneath - currently rented to The Ivy and Wagamamas - is on the market for offers in excess of £13,250,000.

The property is being advertised as a "significant value-add hotel and restaurant investment opportunity in the heart of Windsor".

Currently vacant, the hotel closed in June 2020 when staff and locals woke to the news the hotel was under threat of closing its doors for the last time after the administrators, Begbies Traynor Ltd, formally handed the keys back to the building’s landlords at the Crown Estate.

Over 1.5million people are estimated to visit Windsor Castle each year and the hotel being situated in the heart of the town means it is within walking distance to maor attractions and Windsor Riverside train stations.

The previous hotel operator is said to have achieved a historical turnover of £3.18million in 2019.
