Upton Park Hotel could undergo conversion if plans are approved.
Elsewhere, a charity shop could be converted into a restaurant, and a recently closed church could become a place for golfers to train.

Conversion of hotel into apartments (P/06333/019)
A plan has been submitted Upton Park Hotel into 10 apartments.
The hotel occupies a prominent position near Herschel Park, with the original building dating back to the 1840s.
The conversion will involve converting hotel rooms to provide six studio apartments and four one bedroom flats.
A total of 13 car parking spaces would be provided for future occupants.
Conversion of charity shop into restaurant (P/05572/001)
A plan has been submitted to convert the Age Concern charity shop at 280 Farnham Road into a restaurant.
A submitted document states the restaurant would provide ‘a family friendly dining experience’ with healthy food being served to customers.
Work involves constructing a new shopfront and installing a kitchen extraction system, with the intention being for the restaurant to be open from 8am to 11.30pm each day.
The shop is located in a row of stores that include Subway, Exotic Superstore a dry cleaners and halal butchers.
Conversion of recently closed church into ‘golf range’ (RBWM app 23/01456/FULL)
Here, a plan has been submitted to convert a recently closed church in Old Windsor into a golf simulator.
A letter sent by a planning agent states that St Luke’s Church was closed in April 2023 as it was no longer viable for its intended use, with church services being consolidated at the larger Parish Church of St Peter and St Andrew.
The plan involves replacing the front extension of the building and making alterations to facilitate the installation of three golfing simulator bays.
According to planning agents, the simulators will enable participants to play famous golf courses – they’ve also made it clear that the simulations will be intended for serious golfers rather than parties or groups.
Changes to plan for replacement of plant nursery with homes (RBWM app 23/01420/VAR)
The developer Ardgowan Homes has applied to make changes to its approved plan to replace the Silwood Park plant nursery in Cheapside Road, Ascot with four homes.
Approval to build the four four-bedroom homes on the site was granted in May 2021.
Now, Ardgowan Homes have applied to make changes to the approved plan by repositioning the 12 approved car parking spaces (including two disabled spaces) on the site from the front to the side.
The developer’s planning agent has said this reposition would allow for more landscaping and open space.
