Fire crews have been called to a hotel on the River Thames after being notifed of a chimney collapse.
Just after midday today (January 24) fire crews from three services attended Thames Hotel, later closing the road due to safety concerns.
A spokesperson from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue said: "At 12:32pm on Tuesday, January 24, we received reports of a dangerous structure on Ray Mead Road in Maidenhead.
"Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene alongside crews from London Fire Brigade.
"Upon arrival, crews discovered a collapsed chimney. Using an Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP), firefighters inspected the chimney and determined that no safe action was available. Crews have closed the road and handed the scene over to Thames Valley Police.
"Fire crews were on the scene for approximately one hour and 50 minutes."
Ray Mead Road and Ray Park Road have been closed with police patrolling the site.
Pedestrian access is limited to residents.
Thames Valley Police has been contacted for comment.
