FUNDRAISERS are being offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Meticulously built and restored over thousands of years, supporters will uncover the history of China as they take on a trek of the Great Wall, from October 29 to November 5 next year.

Those taking part in this exclusive challenge will have the opportunity to walk through wonderful remote countryside with views of green rolling hills, mountain peaks and the breathtaking Wall in the background.

Alison Evans, Thames Hospice Head of Community and Events, said: “We wanted to inspire people with a new and unique opportunity, so being able to offer more of a challenge in a country as beautiful as China was an idea we jumped at. Each step of the trek helps us provide quality of life, to the end of life, for everyone, so we hope to see many of you for this special experience.”

The Thames Hospice Great Wall of China Trek is aimed at people with moderate to good fitness levels. Registration costs £330, plus anyone signing up will be expected to raise £3,300 minimum sponsorship to cover trip costs and help Thames Hospice provide their services, free of charge, to local people facing life-limiting illnesses.
