A JUDO star has been crowned champion at her first national competition.
Georgia Summers took home gold from the Crayford Judo tournament in London on Saturday, September 17 after winning all four of her matches.
The 10-year-old threw all her opponents for the maximum ippon score with a combination of good throws.
Georgia, who attends Coworth Flexlands School in Chobham, is a member of the Core Judo Girls Academy which meets at the school, and her coach Jonathon Purssey was proud of her achievements.
He said: "What was impressive is that Georgia was competing in her first national event and controlled her nerves superbly well. Congratulations to Georgia and all Academy players."
The academy trains every Friday from 5-6.15pm at the school in Chertsey Road, Chobham.
