A MAN may have been left with permament eye damage after he was attacked near the ticket office of Ascot Racecourse on Saturday night. 

Police have appealed for witnessed to the "nasty" attack which saw a teenage boy and a man in his 30s assault the victim at around 9.30pm on Saturday (August 6).

The victim, a 30-year-old man, has now been discharged from Frimley Park Hospital but may have lasting damage to his eyesight. 

Investigating officer Det Con Amanda Winterbourne, of Force CID based at Reading police station, said: "This was a nasty attack, which has understandably left the victim traumatised and with serious injuries which may result in possible lasting visual impairment. 

"I would like to talk to anyone who may have any information which they think could help our investigation into this incident."

The first offender is described as a boy around 16-years-old. The second offender is a man, possibly in his thirties.
