A TEAM of bibliophiles from Papplewick have officially become the world's youngest professional booksellers.
The Bibliomaniacs have been elected members of the Professional Book Fairs Association, which is one of the most prestigious bookselling organisations in the country.
The pupils, who meet every Thursday afternoon to investigate old books and prepare catalogues for sale, were even invited to run a stand at last month's London Premier International Book Fair in Earls Court.
They took a selection of their stock, set up the stall, sold a pleasing number of books, and organised the whole day themselves.
Tom Bunbury, headmaster at Papplewick, said: “Everyone, whether it was book collectors, more experienced book dealers or the staff at the conference centre was deeply impressed by the professionalism, politeness and enthusiasm of the boys.”
