Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic scored a hit with pupils from Ascot's Papplewick School when he visited last week.

The Bosnian football star visited the school in Windsor Road on Wednesday, April 24 to talk to pupils who love the 'beautiful game'.

Asmir, who also plays for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, inspired the boys with his training tips. He signed autographs on shirts, footballs and old boots for every boy in the school. He also talked about his charity, the Asmir Begovic Foundation, which builds and improves recreational facilities in England and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Headmaster Tom Bunbury said: “Many thanks to Asmir Begovic for giving up so much of his time to talk to our boys. He demonstrated to us his passion for encouraging kids to be active and live a fun and healthy lifestyle.”
