WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

(LODDON BRIDGE ROAD, WOODLEY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)

ORDER 2012

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Loddon Bridge Road, Woodley between its junctions with A329 Wokingham Road and Colemans Moor Road.

The reason for this prohibition is to allow Wokingham Borough Council contractors to undertake essential highway maintenance in safety.

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by this restriction will be via A329 Wokingham Road,  Access Road to A329(M)/A3290, The Bader Way, Spitfire Way, Miles Way,  Headley Road East and Loddon Bridge Road (northern section), or by this route reversed.

Access for residents and businesses will be maintained for the duration of this closure.  The closure will only be in effect whilst the necessary signs are displayed.

The Order will come into operation on the 11th of March 2012 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier.

It is, however, anticipated that the works will be completed by the 14th of March 2012.
