Police hunt for masked attackers
By Lauren Everitt
DETECTIVES are hunting masked men who viciously attacked a teenager in an alleyway.
The 16-year-old boy was assaulted while on the walkway off Ascot High Street, between the racecourse and the railway station, on Sunday (October 19).
At some time between 8.30-8.45pm he was approached by two men who hit him on the back of the head and in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.
One of the robbers pinned him down while the other searched his clothing and stole items including a Samsung mobile phone, a £20 note and a cigarette lighter, before running off towards the High Street.
Investigating officer Det Con Scott Jamieson said: “The incident took place towards the station end of the alleyway.
“It is believed that three people walked past the end of the alley at the time of the robbery and may have witnessed it.”
The teenager walked home where his parents contacted the police and took him to Frimley Park Hospital, where he was treated for facial injuries and bruising before being kept in overnight.
The robbers are described as being about 6ft tall, of muscular build, wearing dark clothing and balaclavas with a single opening for the eyes.
Call Det Con Jamieson on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
